St. Lukes Church

A very warm welcome to St. Luke's.

 Whatever brings you here, welcome!

From Wednesday the 8th July we are able to hold public services again.

As it stands at the moment, there will be a Mass celebrated at 8am and 10.30 am on a Sunday, and at 10.30 am on a Wednesday.

In order to ensure that everyone that wants to is able to attend Church on a Sunday, I encourage you to consider attending the 8am Mass on a Sunday if you are able. This will reduce the congregation size at the 10.30am service thereby allowing us all to worship as safely as possible.

To meet government requirements, services will look and feel quite different for a long while yet, but what's important is that we are able to be together again.

The Church has been reordered to allow for 2m social distancing. Singing, sharing 'the peace' and sharing the Chalice is still not possible, Face coverings must be worn, and there is sadly no Tea / Coffee after services.

All the above is likely to be reviewed by the Church of England in the coming weeks, and as soon as anything changes I'll let you know.

still required to stay at home, we will continue to offer Morning and

Evening Prayer on our Facebook Page at 9am and 5pm on Tuesday

and  Friday, Compline at 9pm on a Sunday, and we'll live stream the

10.30am Parish Mass on a Sunday and the 10.30am Mass on a

Morning & Evening Prayer is according the Church of England 'Daily

Prayer' book or App. The Order for Compline can be found here.

Our Parish Centre, including the Hall and Meeting Room can now be hired provided that all government guidelines are followed by users.

Chrissy (who takes all our bookings) is working one day a week in September. She will be at her desk between 9am and 2pm on a Wednesday and will be answering 'phone calls and e-mails.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding in these trying times.

God Bless

Fr. James
